Social Weekenders was first formed in September 2008. Originally we catered just for the south-western suburbs of Brisbane and everything was organised by word of mouth and email. Then we created our own website, and this served us well for a while, but we decided we wanted to broaden our horizons, and our membership, so we moved to Meetup.
